Action Team Partnerships

Connecting the school, family and community...

The Georgia Parental Information and Resource Center is implementing Joyce Epstein’s Action Team Partnership model.  Epstein’s model applies the framework of Six Types of Involvement taking an action team approach, and writing partnership plans linked to school improvement goals.  This is research-based information intended to increase student achievement and success in school while improving community and family involvement.

The Action Team Partnership models will be integrated into the existing GA State PIRC design which includes all components of a PIRC under the statutes of No Child Left Behind.  The design includes dissemination of information and materials, skill development and training of trainers, family-school-community engagement, and early childhood development.
